‘End of quote’: Biden has yet another teleprompter fail

President Joe Biden accidentally read instructions off of the teleprompter during a speech Friday.

“End of quote. Repeat the line,” Biden said at a White House event.

Despite widely spread footage, the White House is denying the accident.

After the footage was shared on social media and critiqued, White House assistant press secretary Emilie Simons responded.

“No. He said, ‘let me repeat that line,'” she claimed.

Senior digital strategist Greg Price took the opportunity to ask the White House staffer a question.

“Since you’re in my mentions, maybe you can answer for us why your Energy Department sold a million barrels of our oil reserves to a Chinese gas company an equity firm your boss’ crackhead son co-founded has a $1.7 billion stake in?” he asked.

Simons did not respond.

The White House’s transcript of the remarks also covered Biden’s mistake.

“White House transcript of Biden remarks is now incorrectly aligned with what this WH assistant press secretary falsely claimed on Twitter, despite the video showing Biden clearly stating ‘End of quote. Repeat the line.’ & *not* ‘Let me repeat the line,'” tweeted the Washington Examiner’s Jerry Dunleavy.

Despite the White House’s denial, social media users continued to mock the president’s obvious blunder.

“Whoever controls the teleprompter is the real President!” replied Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk, referencing the movie Anchorman.

“If you put it on the teleprompter he will read it. He’s Ron Burgundy, but without the charisma. FU America (basically/probably),” Donald Trump Jr. chimed in.
