Who: Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner What: Asked by a congresswoman why he wants to raise tax rates on high individual earners and small businesses, Geithner said, “If you don’t touch revenues and you leave in place the tax cuts for the top 2 percent that were put in place by President Bush … you have to shrink the overall size of government programs.”
Why it’s Dim: That’s exactly the point, isn’t it?
Cure: Shrink the overall size of government programs. Then fire Geithner.
