As America celebrates Memorial Day, the Washington Examiner interviewed visitors to the National World War II Memorial on the Mall to talk about what the holiday means to them.
“Memorial Day is for those who passed. Veterans Day is for those of us that are still here,” William Nibblett said. “We all signed a check [for] up to and including our life if we need to and this celebrates the people who cashed that check.”
