The term “new home community” often conjures up an image of hundreds upon hundreds of cookie-cutter homes, parked practically on top of one another in a setting that provides scarcely more privacy than an apartment complex.
Nothing could be further from the truth when it comes to Lakeside Farm. Each of the 17 new homes in the Baltimore County development sits on about an acre, and all are nestled into a beautiful environment that places privacy, and peace and quiet, at a premium.
“The land is gorgeous,” said Tammy Dennis, new home consultant for Lennar, the builder. “There are beautiful rolling hills. It’s really a great setting.”
The homes themselves keep up their end of the bargain. Three models — the Alexander, the Independence, and the Wellington — are available beginning at $599,990, $659,990 and $779,990 respectively.
“They’re colonials, but they’re not traditional,” Dennis said. “The kitchens come standard with granite countertops, cherry cabinets. This is not your basic builder home and then you upgrade.”
The homes come standard with four bedrooms and either 2.5 or 3.5 bathrooms. There are two-car garages, oversized bedrooms, and libraries and sitting rooms. They start at 2,300 square feet, and can range up to 5,000 square feet.
“There are no add-ons,” said Charles Lewis, division sales manager for Lennar. “Everything you need is there already.”
The neighborhood is located near Loch Raven Reservoir in Baltimore County, just 6 miles north of Towson. It’s right off of 695, but you’d never know it.
“The Glen Arm area is surrounded by horse farms,” Lewis said. “[Lakeside Farm] is very green and natural in its flair.”
“We have a lot of people who work downtown stop by,” Dennis said. “Towson, Harford County, and the city are all so accessible.”
