Many have said “Ninja Gaiden” for the Xbox was one of the best action games ever made.

They also say it was the hardest.

Ninja Gaiden II” lives up to its predecessor with a chaotic slash-fest you won’t find anywhere else.

In a game not for the faint of heart, players will control everyone’s favorite ninja, Ryu Hayabusa, as he tears through swarms of vicious foes that will keep coming, even when you’ve sliced off a limb or two with any of the eight melee weapons you’ll find along the way. The camera is sloppy at times and can easily put you in a position to get repeatedly shot in the back.

Boss fights have been toned down a bit, but you’ll still find yourself trying the same fight over and over again. “Ninja Gaiden II” is easily one of the most difficult and at the same time rewarding action titles on the 360.

Every encounter has a number of tactical approaches, with ninpo (spell-like abilities) and powerful projectiles giving you a number of ways to tactically kill everything in sight.
