Montgomery County police have charged a Germantown man with raping a coworker in a restaurant bathroom.
A female victim said she was socializing with friends and associates, one of whom was 52-year-old Juan Melgar, at the Pelican Restaurant in Germantown on the evening of Saturday, Aug. 6. When she went to the bathroom, Melgar followed her and forced her to have intercourse, officials said.
Melgar was arrested Aug. 18 and is being held on a $15,000 bond.
