Trump and Romney to dine Tuesday night

President-elect Trump will meet with Mitt Romney for dinner Tuesday night, according to a Politico report published Monday evening.

Earlier Monday, Trump’s transition team announced a second meeting with the former Massachusetts governor and 2012 Republican presidential nominee, who is being considered for secretary of state despite his criticism of Trump during the campaign season.

It’s not clear if the dinner itself would be the second meeting between the politicians or would be a post-meeting meal. Romney is slated to meet Trump at his New York headquarters Tuesday. Sources who spoke with Politico did not say if the two would be dining inside Trump Tower or elsewhere.

Romney met with Vice President-elect Mike Pence last weekend while Trump was staying at his golf resort in Bedminster, N.J.

Trump is also considering former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, Sen. Bob Corker of Tennessee and former CIA director David Petraeus for secretary of state.
