SAN ANTONIO (AP) — A San Antonio man has been charged with arson after police say he lit a house on fire with six children inside.
San Antonio police arrested 47-year-old David Esquivel on Wednesday. Witnesses tell officers Esquivel had been arguing with his girlfriend in the home on Tuesday before choking her. They say he lit a bed on fire after she called 911.
There was one other adult in the home with the couple and the children. No injuries were reported.
It wasn’t immediately clear if Esquivel has an attorney.
