WATCH: Indiana cheerleaders get March Madness shining moment

A pair of cheerleaders stole the show at a college basketball game on Thursday, coming up with an innovative way to dislodge the basketball after it became stuck.

During the March Madness first-round game between Indiana University and Saint Mary’s College, play was halted after the basketball became lodged behind the backboard.

Players and referees worked to try and set it loose, yet none seemed able to retrieve it.

Then cheerleaders from Indiana University appeared to have an idea.

One cheerleader lifted another on his shoulders, and she was able to free the ball.

“This is how you do it,” the commentator shouted. “She’s got it. Oh, what a play — the cheerleader saves the day.”

“That’s her one shining moment,” the commentator added.
