‘I stand by my brother’: Rep. Greg Pence supports former vice president’s remarks on Trump

Indiana Rep. Greg Pence told reporters he supports his brother’s recent statements regarding the 2020 election certification.

“Rep. Greg Pence, brother of former Vice President Mike Pence, told me this when asked if he agrees with his brother’s speech last week: ‘I stand by my brother now and forever,'” CNN’s Manu Raju tweeted Wednesday morning.

Last week, Mike Pence told attendees at a Federalist Society event that former President Donald Trump was “wrong” and that he had “no right to overturn the election.”

PENCE SAYS TRUMP IS ‘WRONG’: ‘I HAD NO RIGHT TO OVERTURN THE ELECTION’

Trump released a statement following the event, saying, “Just saw Mike Pence’s statement on the fact that he had no right to do anything with respect to the Electoral Vote Count, other than being an automatic conveyor belt for the Old Crow Mitch McConnell to get Biden elected President as quickly as possible.”

“Well, the Vice President’s position is not an automatic conveyor if obvious signs of voter fraud or irregularities exist,” he added.

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell brushed off the “Old Crow” attack, telling the Washington Examiner, “It’s my favorite bourbon,” referring to a spirit by the same name.

Former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie recently told ABC he didn’t know what took Pence so long.

“I think the actions the vice president took on Jan. 6 spoke loudly, and I’m glad he’s finally put words to it,” he told This Week co-host Martha Raddatz.

Christie, a former Trump ally, has become one of his staunchest critics.

“Jan. 6 was a riot that was incited by Donald Trump in an effort to intimidate Mike Pence and the Congress into doing exactly what he said in his own words last week — overturn the election,” he said.
