SAN RAFAEL, Calif. (AP) — Residents near a grass fire in Marin County are being advised to evacuate.

A sheriff’s dispatcher said a voluntary evacuation was in effect on Friday afternoon for a mobile home park and on two streets near the blaze in San Rafael. She did not know how many homes were affected.

She also did have information about the fire or its size.

Smoke was visible from nearby Highway 101. San Rafael is about 20 miles north of San Francisco.

A call to the San Rafael fire department was not immediately returned.
