Franchising seminar set at SLU

HAMMOND, La. (AP) — The Louisiana Small Business Development Center at Southeastern Louisiana University will offer a franchising seminar on Thursday.

Co-sponsored by the Hammond Chamber of Commerce, the free seminar will run from 10 a.m. until noon at the development center’s office, 1514 Martens Drive in Hammond.

The session will focus on the franchise business ownership model and opportunities available in the franchise world.

Topics will include financing resources, types of franchise businesses, lessons from successes and failures and incentives available to veterans.
