NEW ORLEANS (AP) — The University of New Orleans has appointed John Williams as dean of the College of Business Administration.
Williams had served as interim dean since August 2010.

Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs James E. Payne says Williams was one of three finalists for the post. In a statement Tuesday, Payne said he’s confident Williams will provide the leadership required to enhance the college’s internal operations and continued engagement with the greater New Orleans community.
Williams joined UNO in 2005 as a tenured professor and director of the Lester E. Kabacoff School of Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism Administration. He’s also served as director of the Department of Hotel, Restaurant, Institution Management and Dietetics at Kansas State University and as the coordinator of the undergraduate program at Virginia Tech University.
