Drudge: Trump ‘saved the media’

Matt Drudge, the founder of the Drudge Report, is crediting President Trump for saving the media.

“I’m getting a little bit nervous about the media’s situation. Do you know, the media was near death,” Drudge told the Savage Nation radio in an interview that aired Friday. “The New York Times was holding on to the short hairs. Vanity Fair was going under. CNN barely had a fraction.”

“Trump has saved the media,” he continued. “Record ratings now because the opposition is consolidating.”

Drudge also urged Trump to “disappear” for a while.

“Since when did the president become someone who was in your face all the time?” Drudge said, blaming former Presidents Bill Clinton and Barack Obama for being in the “public face” every day.
