Rushern Baker plans to visit the Prince George’s County high school where the principal was recently fired in the wake of several in-school fights.
The county executive is planning to tour High Point High School in Beltsville on Friday, his spokesman Scott Peterson said. Peterson said it’s a routine tour, part of the county executive’s effort to visit each of the county’s schools.
One recent in-school fight led to several arrests and another ended up on YouTube. Principal Michael Brooks lost his job after a public uproar over the incidents.
