MASSENA, N.Y. (AP) — State police say a 35-year-old man is in critical condition after he was injured when items at a Sears warehouse fell on him as storage racks collapsed.

Troopers say Joshua N. Quintilliani of Waddington was organizing the storage racks at the Sears store at St. Lawrence Center Mall in Massena around 6:40 p.m. Saturday when the shelves gave way, pinning him under plywood, glass and metal materials.

He was transported Massena Memorial Hospital, where he was stabilized before being airlifted to Fletcher Allen Medical Center in Burlington, Vermont. Troopers say Monday that he’s listed in critical condition.
