BELLEVILLE, Ill. (AP) — Services are set for a retired longtime southwestern Illinois judge who died of cancer-related complications.
Kassly Mortuary in Fairview Heights says St. Clair County Circuit Judge Michael O’Malley of Swansea died at his home Saturday. He was 61.
O’Malley served on the bench for 25 years after being appointed an appointed circuit judge in early 1985 and elected a circuit judge in 1990. He retired in 2010.
A funeral Mass is scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Henry’s Catholic Church in Belleville, followed by burial at Mount Carmel Cemetery.
