The Pentagon said Monday that an Islamic State leader described as “the military emir of Anbar Province” was killed another with other operatives of the terrorist group in a May 6 airstrike in Iraq.
Spokesman Peter Cook called the death of Abu Wahib another blow against the leadership of the Islamic State. “ISIL leadership has been hit hard by coalition efforts and this is an example of that,” he said.
