In addition to the myriad of road closures expected to begin early morning Sunday for the Martin Luther King Jr. memorial dedication, drivers should expect to get out of the way for the Law Enforcement Ride and Run to Remember, a 5 kilometer run and bike ride to raise money for police officers.
Starting at 8 a.m., the riders and runners will follow this route, closing these streets until around noon:
· South on 3rd Street, NW to Independence Avenue, SW
· East on Independence Avenue, SW to 2nd Street, SE
· North on 2nd Street, SE to Maryland Avenue, NE
· West on Maryland Avenue, NE to 1st Street, NE
· South on 1st Street to Independence Avenue, SE
· West on Independence Avenue, SW to 3rd Street, SE
· North on 3rd Street, SW to F Street, NW
