Columbia?s revitalization project could extend to all of Columbia in Howard County.
The move would allow the communities to address any needs in a “cohesive and directed manner,” said Council Chairman Calvin Ball, D-District 2.
For years, the District Four Revitalization Planning Committee has been bringing together the villages in West Columbia, government and business representatives to address community revitalization issues.
The villages comprise Dorsey?s Search, Harper?s Choice, Hickory Ridge, River Hill, Town Center and Wilde Lake. The committee, which meets quarterly, addresses issues such as sidewalk repair, street lights and general maintenance issues.
