DETROIT (AP) — General Motors Co. said Friday that its February U.S. sales rose 7 percent, led by the Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra pickup trucks.
BY THE NUMBERS: The Detroit automaker said it sold 224,314 cars and trucks last month, up from 209,306 a year earlier.

TOP SELLERS: Chevrolet Silverado was up 29 percent to 41,643. Sierra sales rose 25 percent to 14,133.
HOT MODELS: Buick Verano compact luxury car sales more than doubled to 4,171. Sales of the new Cadillac ATS, a BMW 3-Series competitor, were almost 3,400.
