Three people were being evaluated after an explosion at a rowhouse in Southwest Washington, according to D.C. fire officials.
It happened about 11 a.m. Monday. The explosion blew-out several windows at a three-story rowhouse at 1446 Fourth St. SW, said D.C. fire department spokesman Pete Piringer.
The leading theory is that chemical reaction from cleaning equipment caused the explosion at the home, Piringer said. The hazardous materials unit was on scene and three people were being evaluated for possible exposure to the chemicals, Piringer said.
