BALTIMORE (AP) — Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake has announced mandatory travel restrictions for city roads as Hurricane Sandy batters the area.
Beginning at 6 p.m. Monday, vehicular travel is banned in Baltimore. The restrictions to do not apply to uniformed personnel, hospital employees or other medical providers.
The restrictions will remain in effect until noon Tuesday, although they could be extended.
