BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) — Funeral plans have been set for a New York airman who died after being shoved down a flight of stairs inside a Buffalo bar.

The funeral for William Sager Jr. is set for Tuesday.

The Air National Guard member died this past Thursday, more than two months after suffering severe brain trauma in the fall inside Molly’s Pub.

Bar manager Jeffrey Basil has been charged with attempted murder and assault for allegedly pushing Sager down the stairs but could face more serious charges following Sager’s death.

Basil has pleaded not guilty.

Sager’s wake will take place at the John J. Kaczor Funeral Home in Hamburg from 2-8 p.m. Monday.

A private service will take place Tuesday before Sager is buried with military honors in Glenwood Cemetery in Silver Creek.
