White House senior adviser Jared Kushner plans to interview in a private session with the House Intelligence Committee next week, according to a report Friday.
The meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, July 25, the committee said in a press release, the day after he is scheduled to testify before the Senate Intelligence Committee.
Congressional committees and special counsel Robert Mueller are believed to be focusing on Kushner’s interactions with Russian officials as part of investigations into Moscow’s election interference, and possible ties to the Trump campaign.
Investigators are also likely to focus on Kushner’s failure to initially disclose some of these conversations on his security clearance application.
Kushner, President Trump’s son-in-law, participated in a meeting last June with a Russian attorney promising damaging information on Hillary Clinton.
