More than 30 D.C. children will be formally adopted at the 25th Annual Adoption Day in Court ceremony Saturday.
Each child and his or her family will be introduced, and come forward as their judge signs the adoption decree. About 160 children in D.C. foster care are awaiting adoptive homes.
The event is from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at the Moultrie Courthouse, 500 Indiana Ave. NW, Washington.
Volunteers will be at the event to talk about fostering and adopting in D.C. Those who want to know more about becoming an adoptive or foster parent can call (202) 671-LOVE.
