A teenage girl in Pennsylvania was playing basketball on Tuesday evening when she was struck by two bullets, leaving her in “extremely critical condition.”
The shooting took place in Philadelphia at around 8:53 p.m., when the 15-year-old was shot once in the left side of her face and again in the right side of her head. The girl was quickly rushed to Temple University Hospital for treatment.

The shooting occurred at Jerome Brown Playground, where the girl reportedly lives close by and plays basketball on the playground courts regularly, according to the Associated Press. Several other people were present when the gunshots were fired, but by the time authorities arrived, all other individuals had fled.
The Philadelphia Police Department told the Washington Examiner that, so far, no arrests have been made, and the weapon has yet to be recovered.
The 15-year-old’s identity has not been released.
