God of War II
Returning with all the anger and determination of the first title, “God of War II” may go down as the last great PS2 game released for the system (Sorry, “Final Fantasy 12”).
With stunning graphics inspired by Greek mythology and sound worthy of a standalone CD — available on iTunes for $9.99 — this title creates a breathtaking experience that rivals a Hollywood production.
You play as Kratos, once god now mortal, stripped of his powers by a threatened Zeus. Gaia and the Titans take your side as they assist in your quest of revenge. Between somewhat tricky puzzles, you slash, shoot and slam all the minions of Hades and Olympus alike as you try to reach the Sisters of Fate and undo your downfall.
As in Greek mythology, the balance of right and wrong plays an important part.
Even if you’re not into action games, find someone who is and watch the game be played.

Jade Empire: Special Edition
Based on just about every kung fu film ever created, the world and mythology of “Jade Empire” is one any RPG fan should experience.
Defeat your enemies and save the Jade Empire on the path of “Open Palm” or “Closed Fist.” These aren’t exactly good/evil decisions, but more of a philosophical ying/yang that can alter your quest.
Originally released in 2005 for the Xbox, “Jade Empire: Special Edition” is enhanced for the PC. But remastered graphics and a few new fighting styles hardly make this worth buying if you’ve already got it on Xbox.
