Eliot Spitzer the Crusader

For this cartoon, I used Boris Vallejo’s “National Lampoon’s Vacation” movie poster for inspiration. I was aiming for a similar feel, but maybe not quite as screwball and without the ripped clothing and super-muscular figures. I hope my drawing of “Kristen” the prostitute doesn’t offend anyone — but I doubt anyone will choke on their Cheerios over breakfast because of it. I’m sort of sorry to see Eliot Spitzer’s political career nearing its end; he’s got a really fun face to caricature, and his ambition undoubtedly would have driven him toward a presidential run someday.
