‘SNL’: Trump sends Steve Bannon to hell

The feud between Trump advisers Steve Bannon and Jared Kushner took center stage in the cold opening of “Saturday Night Live.”

President Trump, played once again portrayed by Alec Baldwin, called both Bannon (portrayed by the Grim Reaper) and Kushner (guest host Jimmy Fallon) — whom Trump affectionately called “Kush-ball” — into the Oval Office.

He said only one could stay, and listed off each’s accomplishments. It was clear from the beginning who in “The Batchelor”-esque contest would would win out: Kushner.

“Take him back to hell,” Trump announced, before a larger Grim Reaper opened the door and dragged Bannon out.

“Jared you’re such an inspiration. You’ve showed everyone that if you’re born rich and marry my daughter you can do anything you want,” Baldwin said before asking Fallon’s Kushner to sit at his desk and do his job.

Fallon, dressed as though he just returned from Iraq, didn’t say one word until the very end when the two yelled the scene-ending, “And live from New York, it’s Saturday night!”

Also in the skit was Vice President Mike Pence (played by SNL’s Beck Bennett). He and Baldwin opened the skit musing about and mocking Trump’s lack of accomplishments in his first 100 days.

On hearing from Bennett that he can be president more than 100 days, Baldwin quipped, “I don’t know, have you seen my tweets about North Korea? This could all be over by Monday.”

“Oh sir, I love when you joke so casually about North Korea,” Bennett replied.

The skit also made fun of Trump’s repeated visits to the Mar-a-Lago.
