The City of Alexandria is asking its residents to help replace the hundreds of trees that were destroyed by this year’s severe winter and
summer storms.
City officials are asking citizens to consider:
- — Making a tax-deductible donation to the Living Landscape Fund of Alexandria. Call 703-746-5490 or email [email protected].
- — Requesting a replacement tree for those that were destroyed through the Street Tree Planting Program. Tree types can be found by visiting alexandriava.gov/18902. E-mail requests to [email protected].
- — Purchasing a tree from the city’s tree sale on Oct. 23 at George Washington Middle School. For information, call 703-746-5496 or email [email protected].
