Who: Herman Cain, GOP presidential candidate What: Cain styles himself as a great ally of Israel. But when asked about the extremely controversial “right of return” to Israel that is often demanded by Palestinians, he said, “I don’t think they [the Israelis] have a big problem with people returning.”
Why it’s dim: Cain clearly didn’t know what he was talking about. Instead of admitting it, he spoke from ignorance. As Sarah Palin could probably tell him, it’s not wise to wing it on national television.
Cure: If Cain wants to run for president, he’s going to have to study harder — especially on foreign policy.
