A public hearing is set for Saturday for four bond bills granting state funds for county parks projects and the construction of a parking garage for historic Main Street in Ellicott City.
The bills scheduled for a 1 p.m. hearing in Annapolis are:
» House Bill 168: Allotting $500,000 in state money for the planning and construction of Blandair Regional Park in Columbia
» House Bill 175: Allotting $500,000 in state money for the planning and construction of the Robinson Nature Center in Columbia
» House Bill 177: Allotting $500,000 in state money for the planning and construction of the North Laurel Community Center in Laurel
» House Bill 255: Allotting $500,000 of state money for the construction of a parking garage on historic Main Street in Ellicott City
A hearing on House Bill 881, which would authorize the teacher unions to charge nonmembers a representation fee, is planned for 1 p.m. Tuesday.
On March 20, a hearing on House Bill 1089, which would broaden the scope of wine tasting licenses in Howard to allow beer tasting, will begin at 1 p.m.
