Rudy Awakening for the Religious Right

The popularity of Republican presidential candidate Rudy Giuliani has caused quite a bit of anxiety among the religious right, whose voting habits seem to be dictated solely by their views on a handful of controversial social issues. Giuliani’s stance on abortion and gay rights gives these people fits. In fact, leaders in the religious right are even contemplating backing a third-party candidate if Giuliani becomes the GOP nominee. But you never know with the religious right. They could change there minds, say, if President Bush announces the Almighty told him Giuliani should be the next president.
