Hillary Clinton is leading Donald Trump in a new national poll, but her lead has dipped slightly to just 5 points.

According to a new NBC News/Survey Monkey weekly election tracking poll released Tuesday, Clinton leads Trump 48 percent to 43 percent. This week’s poll was conducted online June 27 to July 3.

Last week, Clinton opened up an 8-point lead in the same poll, her largest since the general election match-up question between her and Trump was asked on May 2. In that poll, conducted June 20-26, Clinton led Trump 49 percent to 41 percent.

In this week’s poll, Clinton trails when matched up against other hypothetical Republican candidates.

Against Mitt Romney, the GOP’s 2012 nominee, they are neck-and-neck at 45 percent each. House Speaker Paul Ryan bests Clinton 47 percent to 45 percent and Ohio Gov. John Kasich, who dropped out this spring, beats her by 8 points (50 percent to 42 percent).

When Libertarian candidate Gary Johnson and Green Party contender Jill Stein are included in the question, Clinton’s advantage over Trump is just 3 points: 41 percent to 38 percent.

The online poll involved 11,486 U.S. adults age 18 and over, including 10,072 who said they are registered to vote. The margin of error is plus or minus 1.3 percentage points.
