Members said company owner Sean Anthony violated board and state ethics policies when he financed a car for then-director Kamran Pahlavan in 2011.
Jim Simpson, attorney for the authority, said the Utility Authority must give Anthony 30 days notice before the contract is ended, and Anthony must continue doing the work outlined in his contract for up to 180 days until the board replaces him.
The authority’s board is made up of the mayors of its five cities and two county supervisors. The Sun Herald reports (http://bit.ly/YwDxND ) members held a special meeting Monday to discuss the issue.
Anthony’s company has had the operation and maintenance contract with the Authority since 2006.
