SEE IT: Alaska farmer breaks record with giant pumpkin

An Alaskan farmer set a record for the largest pumpkin in state history.

Dale Marshall of Anchorage, Alaska, won the giant pumpkin weigh-off at the state fair Monday.

The giant gourd weighed in at a whopping 2,147 pounds, according to the Alaska State Fair.

“It’s official!” the fair wrote. “Dale Marshall broke his own record and set a new state record with this 2,147-pound giant pumpkin! Pie, everyone?”

Marshall had previously set the state record in 2019 with a pumpkin that weighed 2,051 pounds. The farmer also won the 2021 weigh-off with a 1,603.5-pound pumpkin.

The current Guinness World Record for largest pumpkin belongs to a 2,702-pounder grown last year by Stefano Cutrupi in Italy.
