Donald Trump mocked Hillary Clinton on Friday for delivering an “average” acceptance speech on the final night of the Democratic National Convention.
“So I watched last night. I watched Hillary Clinton — what a sad situation,” the Republican presidential nominee told battleground voters at a mid-afternoon rally in Colorado Springs, Colo.
“I watched her last night giving a speech that was so average, and I watched as the networks said it was all right,” Trump said. “And then I watched this morning [and the networks said] it was ‘so unbelievable, it was so wonderful.'”
“It wasn’t wonderful folks,” he said, noting that he “liked the Republican convention better” because the GOP put together “a far more beautiful set.”
Trump also slammed Clinton in a tweetstorm early Friday morning. Her speech, he claimed, demonstrated that Democrats are living in a “fantasy world.”
The billionaire will hold a second rally in Colorado, where Clinton is currently polling ahead of him, late Friday evening at 9 p.m. ET.
