The World War II memorial was barricaded earlier today. So was a World War I memorial. And, it turns out, so is the Martin Luther King Jr. memorial, which is right near those others on the Mall in Washington, D.C.

On Facebook, journalist Jamie Dupree noted, “Took a run by the memorials in DC on the way to work. There was so much temporary fencing, metal and wooden barricades, and yellow tape around the Martin Luther King Junior memorial that it looked like a crime scene.”
