The feud between Donald Trump and the Muslim father of a slain U.S. Army captain escalated on Monday, after Khizr Khan slammed Trump’s “ignorance and arrogance.”
“This candidate’s maligning of decent patriotic Republicans has continued,” Khan said on CNN Monday morning. “Look what he did and how he spoke about Mitt Romney. Look what he did, how he spoke with Sen. McCain.”
“This is a proof of his ignorance and arrogance, and I again and again ask his advisers to get him in a room, close the door and set him right,” he said.
“Every decent Republican has rebuked his behavior…yet nobody has stood up and said, ‘Enough.'” — Khizr Khan https://t.co/3YaXsR6rBd

Khan’s son died in 2004 in Iraq as he was trying to stop two suicide bombers. Khan relayed the story of his son at the Democratic National Convention last week, and won rave reviews from Trump’s opponents when he said Trump is “void of empathy.”
Trump initially fired back at Khan, but then said Khan’s son was a “hero,” and said the U.S. should stay focused on radical Islamic terrorism.
But Khan has kept up his attack, and said over the weekend that Trump “is a black soul.”
And Khan continued the attacks Monday, by saying Republicans need to put an end to Trump’s candidacy.
“Every decent Republican has rebuked his behavior, yet, nobody has stood up and said, ‘enough, stop it, you will not be our candidate,'” he said.
Trump tweeted Monday morning in response that Khan is “viciously” attacking him, and again said voters should stay focused on how to defeat the Islamic State.
Mr. Khan, who does not know me, viciously attacked me from the stage of the DNC and is now all over T.V. doing the same – Nice!
