BROOKLINE, Mass. (AP) — National Park Service landscape architects will present a report to the public that details the physical evolution of the neighborhood where President John F. Kennedy was born.
JFK’s birthplace at 83 Beals St. in Brookline, Mass., is a national historic site.
Park Service officials say the cultural landscape report chronicles the past century of development in the Coolidge Corner neighborhood.
The report talks about the appearance of the property and neighborhood when JFK was born in 1917. It also details the period in the 1960s when the Kennedy family refurbished the house before donating it to the National Park Service.
The report’s authors will present their findings at a March event in Brookline.
