This is my first stab at caricaturing Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley, and what’s funny is that he wasn’t the hardest thing to draw in this cartoon! For some reason, I struggled with the drunken guy — my pencil eraser got a good workout.
The Examiner published an excellent editorial recently about O’Malley’s special session to fix the “structural” deficit facing Maryland. Aren’t Marylanders forking over enough of their paychecks already? You know, it’s apropos that the pols spending like drunken sailors are legislating from Annapolis. (In my best imitation of a pirate …) I say, make ’em swab the decks! Yarrrrgh!
