Kristol Calls In: Warner Gets Bumped for Refusing to be Attack Dog

Bill Kristol calls in from the Pepsi Center. According to a source, Mark Warner was originally scheduled to speak in the 10 o’clock hour in primetime before Hillary Clinton, but Warner was moved to the less desireable pre-primetime bloc because he apparently refused to turn his speech into an attack on John McCain. Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick is now speaking in the 10 o’clock hour, and will read the scripted anti-McCain lines. Recall that Warner was given the primetime spot because the Obama campaign expected Virginia to be in play. Now apparently they think attacking McCain is more important. A touch of panic?
