Who: Fairfax County Board of Supervisors What: Low-income residents are getting tax subsidies to pay for resort-style housing in affluent neighborhoods. Some of the perks include a swimming pool, a billiard room, granite counter tops and stainless steel appliances.
Why it’s an outrage: Many of the taxpayers in Fairfax County cannot afford luxuries like this for themselves but are picking up the tab for those who qualify for subsidized housing.
