SANTA ANA, Calif. (AP) — An Orange County sheriff’s officials say a deputy shot a man during a disturbance at a Ladera Ranch condominium complex.

Lt. Jeff Hallock says the deputy was not injured in the incident late Sunday.

The suspect was taken to a hospital in unknown condition.

Hallock says deputies were responding to reports of a disturbance, but had no further details.

City News Service reports neighbors heard a couple fighting before deputies arrived.
