Convention association snags two signings

In an effort to attract national medical meetings, the Baltimore Area Convention and Visitors Association has made two signings.

Orthopedic Trauma Association is the first group who will visit Charm City, coming in October of 2010. With them, they will bring an estimated 1,200 medical professionals and $1.2 million in direct spending.

The Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology will have its citywide convention over June and July of 2011. This meeting will bring an estimated 4,000 attendees and $4.1 million in direct spending.
