What: On his HBO show “Real Time,” Maher mused on climate change: “I’m looking at what’s going on with the weather in this country. You see droughts. You see floods. You see these giant fires. I mean, cattle are dying in Texas. This is what I used to see in Ethiopia.” Why it’s dim: Was there a time when droughts, floods, and wildfires weren’t a part of the weather in this country?
Cure: Please stop using bad weather as proof of global warming — no law is going to get rid of droughts, floods or wildfires.
