The chants of “lock him up” are a play on the chants President Trump supporters used against Democratic challenger Hillary Clinton throughout the 2016 presidential election.
Democrats are demanding that Sessions leave because he failed to disclose two meetings with the Russian ambassador during the campaign. Sessions has said those meetings had nothing to do with the campaign, and involved his work as a senator.
