D.C. police are asking the public for any tips that could help them catch a man who robbed a bank in Northwest Friday morning.

The man walked up to the teller window at United Bank on the 1800 block of I Street NW and demanded money. The teller handed over cash and the man fled on foot.

Police described the man as black, with a medium complexion, mid to late 20s, about 6 feet 1 inch tall, with a thin build, brown eyes and a dark mustache. He was last seen wearing a black, hooded jacket, light-colored pants and light blue tennis shoes.

The Metropolitan Police Department offers a $5,000 reward for tips leading to the arrest of any robber.
