Police chased a suspected drunk driver from the Capital Beltway into D.C. before the driver crashed his truck Thursday evening.

A traveler called Maryland State Police around 5:30 p.m. to report a reckless driver southbound on Interstate 95 at the Intercounty Connector.

Police caught up with the car on the Beltway, but the driver refused to pull over. D.C. police took over when the driver crossed into the District, where he crashed his black Lincoln Navigator at the intersection of New York and Florida avenues.
